Mike Myers said “schwing!” when he recently saw a restored vintage home in the West Village.
Sources say the recently single comic immediately began negotiations to buy the four-story circa-1845 brick Greek Revival residence with a $9.9 million price tag. But after several weeks, the contract was left on the table unsigned.
The Perry Street property, located a few doors down from the townhouse that Billy Joel and his young wife, Katie Lee Joel, are renovating, has four bedrooms, 31/2 baths, two outdoor decks and a south-facing garden. No word on why Myers didn’t think the deal was excellent, since neither he nor Corcoran Group broker Tatiana Cames returned our calls.
